In our fast-paced and pressured world, it is common to get caught up in taking care of everyone around us and often forget about ourselves. Often times, we may being feeling overwhelmed and facing difficulties within daily tasks/responsibilities. Some of the reasons many individuals reach out for counseling may include:

Teens are so often facing stressors, transitions, social pressure, and self-comparison. Often times when difficulties in coping are present, mood and behavioral changes may be observed. Many of the common issues that may arise are:
Low self-esteem
Excessive worry or perfectionism
Self-harm and/or thoughts of suicide
Stress-management issues
Difficulties within peer or family relationships
At times kids may feel overwhelmed in life. At times, children may have difficulty in identifying or understanding their own emotions. When a child feels overwhelmed, it often results in emotional or behavioral issues and difficulties with coping. Some of the reasons children are seen for counseling may include:
Difficulties with behavior at home or within their classroom
Trouble expressing or verbalizing emotions
Feeling anxious often and difficulty controlling worries
Difficulties with initiating or maintaining friendships
Life changes such as new baby to the family, divorce, or a recent move

Connection and understanding is something that we all need as human beings. Group therapy sessions are small, typically 4-6 individuals that meet weekly, exploring topics such as anxiety, depression, loss, communication, coping strategies and more. Some of the groups that we offer include:
